Trading sweets is not just for kids

Gumlink Confectionery Company is constantly developing new products and concepts, and we always look forward to unveiling them to our customers.

In this article, we give you a glimpse at some of the latest concepts that we will be launching at ISM 2011, the world's largest trade fair within sweets and biscuits. 

New concepts
As the only B2B supplier in the industry to offer tailored concepts within all types of chewing gum, our latest line of products continues to reflect the latest market trends, best-selling concepts and our unique R&D competencies.

Sticks
Over the last couple of years, sugarfree sticks have been making a comeback, and are today the quickest-growing product type within the chewing gum category. Our new range of sugarfree sticks will feature the five best-selling flavours – Spearmint, Peppermint, Cool Mint, Tropical and Berry.

Mini-sticks
Available in White mint & Blue mint, Pink grape fruit & Sweet mint and Orange & Cranberry, our new dual-layer mini-sticks will guarantee unique taste sensations as well as double the fun!

We will also be launching a cool new concept within mini-sticks with crunch and a cooling effect. This product will be available in Cool mint and Lemon mint flavours.

Mini-sticks are one of the more active and popular product types within the chewing gum category. With a 20-40% market share in countries like Spain and Portugal, we believe that mini-sticks will continue to be a popular choice in the future.

Centrefilled gum
We have developed a product that features a unique powder-filled centre. As well as offering excellent dental benefits, the 35% Xylitol content also gives a great crunchy feeling in the mouth and a super cooling sensation.  A world first within Private Label, this gum will be available in Mild mint and Strong mint variants.

Bubble gum
We recognise that children's health is important and is something that parents are taking more and more interest in. That's why our latest range of concepts includes sugarfree bubble gum in mini-stick form. What's more, children will love the Strawberry & Banana, Tutti-frutti and Cola flavours.

Other exciting concepts
We have also developed concepts that reflect the very latest gum technology, including chewing gum that changes taste over time from fruit to mint, square-shaped 'ice cubes' with a high Xylitol content that deliver a unique cooling sensation, and small pieces of delicious, soft chewing gum that are perfect for both children and adults. These cool mini-bites are a world first and have been developed exclusively by Gumlink Confectionery Company.
